Rush
(DNF @ 18%)I wanted to like Rush. It's got a rad concept, a snappy pace and Miki is a good protagonist.
But I just could not stand Jackson.
I'm sure there's horde of people who eat up the cocky asshole character trope -- I am not one of them. Even if the most tragic of background stories is applied to him, I don't care.
He would be bearable if he were just, you know, around. But he's constantly shoved in your face: saying something to incite Miki, comforting Miki, saying something vague she totally gets or spurning her on with just the right phrase at the right moment. Ugh.
There are very few things that could make it worth it (to me) for pushing through all this Jackson, and I don't think I'll find them here.
